1. YarraBUG Meeting - 7.30pm, Tuesday 16 Oct, Suede Bar, 284 Smith St, 
Collingwood.

This months agenda:
- Feedback from recent Yarra Bicycle Advisory Committee,
- Update Gipps St/MainYarra Trail campaign,
- Updates & further actions for the Darebin Creek campaign from the 
Community Coalition
- BUG summer rides - overview of ride protocols & risk management
- BUG business memberships - discuss either sponsorship or membership 
opinions for local businesses
- BUG promotion over summer - can you help distribute leaflets & posters 
in your local area?
- Any other general business.


2. Yarra Ride to Work Day - Wednesday 17th October
7am - 9am at Victoria Gardens, Richmond. Exact location about 50 metres 
east of the Victoria/Burnley St.corner, on Victoria Street opposite the 
old farm house. Or look for the chalking on the footpath leading you 
there. Yarra BUG will be having a stand there so please feel free to say 
hello. ;)

Activities also include: free coffee and breakfast, free bike 
maintenance, Police with engraving tools, giveaways from Victoria 
Gardens stores, Yarra Leisure prizes and hairdressers fixing ‘helmet hair’.

We've been assured there will be *real* coffee, so Yarra Ride to Work 
Day is definitely worth making more than a flying visit for!


3. Yarra Bicycle Advisory Committee Meeting - 6.30pm, Wednesday 24 October
These are well worth attending to see how council and the locals discuss 
and advocate for issues that concern cyclists. Next meeting at The 
Lounge, Richmond Town Hall, 333 Bridge Road, Richmond. Regular attendees 
will also know about the excellent catering and delicous muffins.

4. Melbourne Cycling Festival, Go Bike Expo, ATB and the Jayco Herald 
Sun Tour
A huge cycling weekend coming up with the Melbourne Cycling Festival 
(Free entry), the Go Bike Expo at Alexander Gardens and Around the Bay 
in Day on Sunday.
