Brunswick Bike Boy Memorial Full Moon Ride - Wednesday 25th August 
******************************************************
7:05PM St Albans Railway Station.
We lost a good friend in Brunswick Bike Boy (AKA Neil) this year to the 
big C and this was the last ride he organized for us. Help us celebrate 
his memory. 
Catch the 6:34pm Watergardens train from Flinders St platform 4. We will 
be in the last carriage, natch.  Get off at St Albans station or meet us 
there 7:05pm. (There is a licensed supermarket nearby for supplies if 
needed).  Join the Maribyrnong Trail via Main Road East and the Ring Road 
trail. 
The path is compacted lilydale toppings for the first part, but it is 
suitable for all kinds of bicycle. Distance approx 30kms. Exit by 
consensus, either through New Market to join the Capital City trail or 
along Footscray Rd to Docklands. For a guide to the route check:

Picnic half way at Canning Reserve or the Lily St Lookout depending on the 
weather so bring some nibbles and beverages of your choice. It always 
seemed to rain on Neil's rides so lets put the mozz on that by bringing 
your wet weather gear in his memory.

Critical Mass - Friday 27th August

5:30PM for 6:00PM - State Library.  Come and celebrate the longer days 
with a fun ride with friends.

The Melbourne Knowledge - Saturday 18th September
******************************************************
2:00PM Meet at the roundabout at the north end of Queen St (near the Vic 
Market), City.
This is a photo scavenger hunt; "How well do you know Melbourne?"
Based on the Northside Knowledge (Nov2009), The Melbourne Knowledge will 
test your very Melbourne, very bike observation skills.
Use photo clues to identify sites within a 3km radius of the roundabout.
Ride to the sites to answer a question! You decide the route.
Points available, ranging from 2 (short distance) to 8 (longer ride). 
Teams of 2 to 4 riders. Bring your friends or meet some new people, make 
some new friends!
Finish at a local pub at 6pm. Not a race! Prizes & fun fun fun!
Optional Gold Coin donation to enter (to cover costs, any remainder to a 
charity)

Bikefest is a new event for Melbourne that celebrates and advocates for 
bikes as part of everyday life. Bikefest is planned and delivered by the 
same volunteer committee that brought you the Melbourne Bicycle Film 
Festival from 2007-09. More information:
