2. MTB Victoria: Bushfire Relief Enduro - Dure journée de difficultés (Hard
Day For Hardship) Sunday 15th of February:

Due to the devastating fires across our state, we will run an event purely
to help those in need. All of the Victorian Clubs MTB have pulled together
to bring you the first round of the State Enduro series for a great cause.
This is your way to contribute to something that is so significant to so
many people.

The Race will be in standard 6hr format. Male and Female Solo and Teams.
The Event will award points for the series.



3. Cycle Sport Victoria: Bikes for Victorian Bush Fire Appeal Saturday 14th
February:

Like many Australians the cycling community will be doing its bit to offer
what support it can to the victims of the Victorian bushfires at the
Austral Wheelrace on Saturday 14 February.

CycleSport Victoria and the organiser’s of the 111th Austral Wheelrace
will be offering free general admission to Saturday’s race at Hisense
Arena for anyone who brings a working bike to donate to the Victorian Bush
Fire Appeal. The Kinglake, St Andrews and broader Yarra Valley region
affected by the fires is close to the hearts of many cyclists as key
training areas.

The Freedom Machine is currently working on organising a fundraising road
ride to help support the victems of Victoria's Bush Fires. As most people
will know, Kinglake has been one of the hardest towns hit, a major ride
destination for a lot of us. I am currently putting together a flyer and
trying to get as much corporate support as possible.

The ride will be conducted on Sunday 22/2/09. For more info or if you

***Please be aware that this will be hopefully a big pack ride, experience
in this style of riding will be necessary Otherwise stay tuned for where
we are meeting afterwards for coffee, refreshments & donations***
