Bicycle Polo relocating - Sunday 8th February

2pm. Polo will be at the corner of Hawthorn St and Helen St, Northcote;

Dinner and Ferry ride - Friday 13th February

leaving 6pm sharp from Southbank (at the end of the coathanger bridge
across the river from Flinders St Railway Station) 6pm sharp. Ride to
underneath the Westgate Bridge. Catch the punt before it finishes at 7pm,
eat dinner in Footscray (prob yummy/cheap vietnamese noodle soup) then
drinks nearby afterward. Support the continuation of this excellent
service for western commuting compadres!

12:00pm - 1:30pm at Federation Square - The Edge. Hosted by Young
Engineers Australia (YEA) and the Environment Institute of Australia and
New Zealand (EIANZ). A light hearted, entertaining debate looking at the
concept of a 'car free CBD' for Melbourne. Representatives from Engineers
Australia will argue the affirmative and Environment Institute the

7pm Prince Albert Hotel, 191 Grattan St, Carlton
Almost 8 Km the wiggly way cycling tour of Melbourne University. The
first 5 Km is an unbroken path past 20 sculptures. Them around more of
the amazing university and back to the start. Expect we’ll get back to
the start around 9:00 PM. Then there several options including a quick
refreshment before a roll down Swanston St to view more sculptures
including a James, Akido, Norma, Tom & Inge. After that it’s up to you.

The World Naked Bike Ride - Sunday 15th March

3pm Union Club Hotel, corner of Gore & Webb Sts, Fitzroy.
Mission Statement: We face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the
best way of defending our dignity and exposing the unique dangers faced by
cyclists and pedestrians plus all the negative effects of oil, cars, war,
consumerism and non-renewable energy. The Protest Themes in 4 Words:
Naturism, Environmentalism, Pacifism and Biketivism.
Clothing is optional. The dress code for the World Naked Bike Ride is
"Bare As You Dare"! YOU get to decide how naked you wish to be. If that
means completely naked, the decision is yours. Fantastic Fun! World Naked
Bike Ride is the biggest naked protest event in the world. It is the
grooviest, funniest, most hippie greenie event. Riding in the WNBR will
give you a natural high and a feeling of joy, liberation and freedom that
will amaze you. The memory of WNBR will cheer you for years to come.

Dates TBA (hot weather required) - Join the bicycle beach party as we ride
to
the sea for a swim and fish 'n' chips on a hot summer night. But because we
don't know the weather in advance, we can't set the date. So you need to email
your mobile phone number to beachriders at gmail.com or SMS "Beach" to 0439
88 00 93. Then when a hot night (over 25 degrees) is forecast in the next
few days, you will be sent an SMS giving the time (evening) & place (CBD)
for the ride start.
