Melbourne Bicycle Film Festival - call for volunteers
********************************************
The Melbourne Bicycle Film Festival is looking for volunteers to undertake 
a variety of activities during the 2008 BFF. Roles include Ushering, Box 
Office, Bicycle Valet Parking, Bar work (RSA preferred but not essential), 
Bussing, Merchandise Sales, Front of House.  We are also seeking a small 
number of production specific volunteers that will work on: Venue bump in 
/ bump out, Transportation, Heavy Lifting and set up, Production 
Management.  The Bicycle Film Festival requires minimum 4- hour / maximum 
7 hour shifts, minimum 21-hour commitment.  The BFF can offer volunteers - 
Invitation to VIP and Volunteer closing party on Monday 24 November - 
Melbourne BFF T-shirt designed by Lisa Gorman - Food on every shift - Gift 
from the Bicycle Film Festival - Reference from Ambiguous Horse.

Melbourne City Bug ride - Sunday 9th of November

10am Nth Melbourne Station, family friendly ride.  Train to Altona and 
ride back along the Bay.  Depending on wind direction, might do it in the 
other direction.  Distance about 25km.  Coffee break at Williamstown, and 
train bail-out here if you need it.  For last minute updates, including

Moreland Bug ride - Sunday 9th of November
********************************************
1pm.  Join Moreland BUG as we cruise down the Merri Creek trail and Yarra 
to Abbotsford for a tour of the Farren?s collection of vintage bicycles. 
We?ll return by the Merri Creek, or you can catch a train from Collingwood 
Station. This is an easy ride and all are welcome. Distance: 15km  Rating: 
Easy, on bike paths,  Note: 1pm is our DEPARTURE time, please arrive early 
and if you?d like lunch or a coffee at the cafe before hand, allow lots of 
time (lunch can take more than an hour to order, eat and pay for on a 
beautiful Sunday at CERES)! Please do RSVP to ruthpaterson at mail.com 
including your phone number. (We need at least 10 people for the tour. We 
should be able to accommodate everyone, but if numbers are too great, 
we?ll give Moreland residents who register before 2 November first 
priority.)

Presented by Cycling Promotion Fund.  Cycling is great for your body and 
mind but with anything enjoyable there are some risks involved. Join us 
for the launch of some great video clips with tips on how to avoid some 
common risks. The launch includes a panel discussion to encourage sharing

4pm - 6:30pm then ride to 7:30PM Screening.  Presented by Commuter Cycles 
14 Prentice St, Brunswick.  A fun celebration of bikes as transport. 
Competitions held to decide:
'Pit lane' award for the fastest puncture repair,
'Lindsay Fox' award for the biggest load carrying capacity,
'Connex' award for the most people on a bike (safely),
'Mudguards are hot' award for the sexiest commuter bike,
'Best dressed' award for the least lycra clad and most visible rider.
