Melbourne BUG and Nth Melbourne Sustainability Street Bike Ride
Destination: Fawkner Memorial Park and the Merri Creek trail
Distance: 25 kilometres approximately (shortcut possible)
Meet at Nth Melbourne Rwy Station at 10a.m.  Buy a Sunday Saver ticket at
the station.
Ride takes in the Capital City trail, Upfield trail, Fawkner Memorial Park,
Western Ring Road, Merri Creek, then across to Merlynston Rwy Station for a
train trip back to Nth Melbourne.

Boroondara Discovery Ride - Sunday 11th May
*****************************
Combined Melbourne Bicycle Touring Club/Boroondara BUG ride on Sunday 11th
May to discover where the major gaps are in Boroondara's shared paths and
what needs to be done to fix them.

This will be a short (<30km) easy ride with lots of stops and lots of
talk. The three main gaps we will look at are:
• Gardiners Creek Path between Solway Bridge and Warrigal Rd
• Outer Circle (Anniversary) Trail at Camberwell High
• Darebin Creek - Yarra Trail missing link

Meet at Ashburton Station, west (city) side car park at 9am to register.
Then join us for a FREE coffee at Milano Espresso Bar, 170 High St
Asburton. If our numbers are large we may also patronise Para's Gourmet
Deli a few doors down at 186 High St.

The ride will depart from High St at 9.45am heading for Markham Reserve via
Alamein Station.  Lunch will be at Town and Country in Whitehorse Rd or
BYO in the park opposite.

Observe Saturn - Monday 12th May
*****************************************************
Meet outside IMAX cinema Rathdown St Carlton for a mini-mass to the
Observatory at the Botanical Gardens.  Saturn is the focus (find it near
Regulus in Leo, in the North East just after sunset - Saturn is brighter
than Regulus, which is a little to Saturn's left).  N.B. if cloudy ride
there anyhow and then have some other fun instead.

Cost $18 adults, $14 concession, $50 family (2 adults and up to 3 children).

Plenty River Full Moon Ride - Tuesday 20th of May
*****************************************************
Start: catch 6.28 from Flinders St, Platform 1 (or 6.47 from Clifton
Hill), to Thomastown (Epping line).
>From Thomastown we ride the (calm) path along the Ring Road to the Plenty
River near Greensborough. Then onto the trail along the river, with stops
for ale & views. Tyres with some grip recommended. Bring food & nibbles to
share.
