Hello all

Please find attached agenda for this week’s Bicycle Advisory Committee 
meeting and a report on the recent Light Up! survey prepared by SKM.

Also, Ride to Work Day is not far away (12 Oct) and Yarra is hosting a 
free community breakfast in the Edinburgh Gardens once again.

I know that many of you have impressive cycling, community and business 
networks. I’m hoping you can assist by forwarding the link or details 
below. It’s sure to be a great celebration of Yarra’s ride-to-work 
culture and a fantastic opportunity for new riders.

Ride to Work Day - Free Community Breakfast

Bike riding in Linear ParkCome and share the great cycling vibe – and 
free breakfast – in Melbourne's ride to work heartland.

More people ride to work from (and through) the City of Yarra than any 
other Melbourne municipality. If you are one of them, or want to join 
them, this breakfast is for you.

The breakfast will take place at the *Edinburgh Gardens rotunda (Alfred 
Crescent, North Fitzroy) on Wednesday 12 October, from 7.30am - 9.00am.*

There will be great giveaways and prizes, including Crumpler messenger 
bags and a three month Yarra Leisure membership. There will also be a 
chance to talk to Council staff who plan Yarra's bike paths and lanes.

Riding to work for the first time? Why not pick up a copy of the 
TravelSmart map beforehand at one of Yarra's libraries, or the Richmond 
and Collingwood town halls, to help you plan your route.

For more information about Ride to Work Day visit the Bicycle Network

are there, remember to register as a Ride to Work participant so you are 
counted as part of the commuter revolution.
