Hi all,

Here's details of a upcoming Cyclist Safety Forum at Richmond Town Hall.

This is a free seminar brought to you by the Institute of Transportation 
Engineers Australia & New Zealand Section.

Date: Wednesday 30 November 2011
Time: 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Venue: Richmond Town Hall, 333 Bridge Road, Richmond

The current law requires a driver who is overtaking a vehicle (cycle) to:
. (the driver) pass the vehicle at a sufficient distance to avoid a 
collision with the vehicle or to obstruct the path of the vehicle.

The purpose of this Seminar is to tease out the safety and related 
issues with respect to Cyclist safety and confidence when being 
overtaken by motor vehicles.

ITE ANZ has invited presenters from various fields of expertise and 
advocacy to discuss aspects of the issues.
