*Shared Path Upgrade - St Georges Rd/ Apperley St to Alfred Cr, Fitzroy 
North*

Yarra City Council will be carrying out works to improve the section of 
shared path in Linear Park between St Georges Rd and Alfred Crescent 
from Wednesday 9^th November 2011, until Friday 9^th December 2011.

*During this time pedestrians and cyclists will not have access to this 
route. Cyclists who use this trail will need to work out an alternative 
safe route of travel during the works.*

The path upgrade is part of the implementation of the Inner Circle 
Railway Linear Park Master Plan, which was adopted by Council in 
November 2006, following extensive community consultation.

The upgrade will involve replacing part of the existing narrow asphalt 
shared path with a 3m wide concrete path. The path alignment will follow 
the existing path, except that cyclists will be further encouraged to 
travel north up Apperley St to connect to the main east-west path, and 
the traffic lights at St Georges Road.
