Yarra Council is encouraging residents to leave their cars at home on 
Wednesday 13 October and get on their bikes for national Ride to Work 
Day. Cyclists will be treated to a free breakfast between 7.30am and 
9.00am at the Edinburgh Gardens Rotunda, Brunswick Street, North 
Fitzroy. Free bike maintenance and bike engraving by Victoria Police 
will be available on the day, and there will also be an opportunity to 
win a Crumpler bag, a three month membership to Yarra Leisure (worth 
$352), or one of several Flexicar memberships. Mayor Cr Jane Garrett 
said Ride to Work Day provided a perfect opportunity for residents to 
try out cycling to work for the first time. (more in link)
