In January 2008 the Victorian State Government have made law banning the access of bicycles during peak hour commuting times on Connex and V/Line services in Victoria. Background on the bans can be found at Bin the Bike Ban: http://binthebikeban.org This ban is more about blaming a larger problem on a relatively small user group. It's easy to use blame-shifting as a diversion for larger problems than showing some strong leadership, like tackling public transport provision for all. This list is to assist people discuss opinions, ideas, campaigns and future proposals to help fight these bans. As this topic has angered many people, please keep your emails on topic and respectful of other peoples opinions. Using publictransport
To post a message to all the list members, send email to publictransport@yarrabug.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to publictransport
Subscribe to publictransport by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you.
