In the midst of the Victorian government only funding $5m for
existing programs and the rest of the VicRoads bicycle
infrastructure funding being scrapped, the WA government have
increased their annual state budget to $28m, let alone Melbourne
City Council funding almost $5m for their entire cycling budget.<br>
<br>
The Victorian State Budget not only cut bicycle infrastructure
funding but also massive reduction to TAFE funding - also impacting
upon bicycle mechanic courses, which have had their funding reduced
by 40% and now deemed a "lifestyle course"<br>
