Hello all

Please find attached the agenda for this Wednesday’s BAC meeting: 
6.30pm, 15 July, Fitzroy Town Hall, entry from courtyard at rear of 
building.

Re item 1.2 – Brunswick St/St Georges Rd route – as mentioned at our 
July meeting, Councillors have asked for a report on ways of improving 
Brunswick St and St Georges Rd for cyclists to be presented to the 
September Council Meeting. *Please bring along any suggestions you have 
and these will be considered as part of that report.*

Note that follow-up on items 1.6 and 3.1 from July meeting has been 
carried forward to the Sept 26 meeting. Re item 1.4 from July meeting: 
Letter to Minister for Transport has been attached here, as promised. It 
was signed by the Mayor and posted on 25 July; no reply to date.

Finally, please see update on Yarra bike works as follows:

·*Wellington Street (Collingwood)*– The consultation has now closed and 
we have received more than 600 responses to the consultation.  A report 
will likely presented to council on the 4th September.   Alistair 
McDonald  will confirm this closer to the date with an email that will 
include a link to the report. The public and BAC members are welcome to 
attend the meeting and put forward verbal submissions on the project 
directly to Councillors.

·*Capital City Trail*– Officers are currently investigating different 
options to improve street lighting at the Amess St shared crossing

·*Yarra Trail, Abbotsford section – *The trail has now been reopened. 
Works completed include approximately 400 m of new concrete path and 400 
m of new asphalt path, fencing, retaining walls and new bike-friendly 
drainage infrastructure. The new line marking on the concrete section 
needs to be re-done, but will not necessitate further closures. At this 
stage there is no line-marking through the Collingwood Children’s Farm – 
Council will be talking with Farm management about what is best for 
their needs as it is not Council land.
