Two weeks left to nominate for the 2010 Australian Bicycling Achievement
Awards 

Do you know someone who deserves national recognition for their commitment
to promoting cycling in your their community? 

Whether it’s an individual, group, business, event or school, nominate
them for an Australian Bicycling Achievement Award.

Maybe you know of a great bike shop, educational institution, or
bicycle-friendly local business who promotes cycling for all staff,
students or clients goes further than simply providing good customer
service? An inspirational cycling event you attended that deserves
recognition? 

These awards recognise commitment, innovation and perseverance in
improving cycling conditions. This year we are also recognising media
identities, whether they are journalists, photographers, or editors, if
they make a positive impact for people who ride a bike, nominate them for
an award.

Nominations for the Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards nominations
are extended to 5pm, Friday, 25 March 2011. 

The Cycling Promotion Fund [http://www.cyclingpromotion.com.au], (CPF) an
initiative of Bicycle Industries Australia Ltd [http://www.bikeoz.com.au].
(BIA), believes that the diverse contribution of individuals and businesses
all assist to creating a bicycle-friendly Australia.

The CPF established the Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards in 2002 to
acknowledge the efforts of Australia’s diverse cycling community. Since
then the scope and quality of nominations has increased considerably,
illustrating the excellent initiatives shaping the future of Australian
bicycling.

Recognising the growing support for these awards, the National Heart
Foundation of Australia

has continued its relationship as the principal sponsor for this year’s
awards.
