The Melbourne Knowledge - Saturday 18th September
******************************************************
2:00PM Meet at the roundabout at the north end of Queen St (near the Vic 
Market), City.  This is a photo scavenger hunt; "How well do you know 
Melbourne?" Based on the Northside Knowledge (Nov2009), The Melbourne 
Knowledge will test your very Melbourne, very bike observation skills.
Use photo clues to identify sites within a 3km radius of the roundabout.
Ride to the sites to answer a question! You decide the route.
Points available, ranging from 2 (short distance) to 8 (longer ride). 
Teams of 2 to 4 riders. Bring your friends or meet some new people, make 
some new friends!
Finish at a local pub at 6pm. Not a race! Prizes donated by
VeloCycles, Nova cinema, Ghostpatrol, + others! & fun fun fun!
Optional Gold Coin donation to enter (to cover costs, any remainder to a 
charity) All Welcome!

5:30PM for 6:00PM - State Library.  On which the night is shorter than the 
day.

YanYean50 bike ride - Sunday 10th October - $50
******************************************************
10:00AM Hurstbridge Railway Station. Fancy a 50-kilometre Sunday cycle 
through the beautiful rolling hills of the northern Yarra countryside? The 
local Greens invite you to participate in the inaugural YanYean50 this 
spring. Commencing in Hurstbridge, the Greens’ YanYean50 will cycle 
through Nutfield, Arthurs Creek, Cottles Bridge, St Andrews, Smiths Gully, 
Watsons Creek and Panton Hill before returning to Hurstbridge. Lunch 
provided, bike-friendly cafes on the way. So sign-up up for the ride, pump 
your tyres, and head for the hills. Leave the city behind and join the 
locals in the best slice of the Green Wedge. Contribution $50.00. For more

Bikefest Melbourne Wed 24th - Sun 28th November

Bikefest is a new event for Melbourne that celebrates and advocates for 
bikes as part of everyday life. Bikefest is planned and delivered by the 
same volunteer committee that brought you the Melbourne Bicycle Film 
Festival from 2007-09. More information:
