National Climate Torch Relay - Saturday 30th August
******************************************************
12:30PM - Fitzroy Town Hall
The Queen of Brunswick Barb Wire will be receiving the torch from the 
Mayor of City of Yarra at Fitzroy town Hall. Then the 'Queen of Brunswick' 
Barb Wire, will be chauffeur ridden on a tandem bicycle to the Ceres 
environmental park with a large crowd of cyclists. Mobile solar powered 
Bicycle sound system, etc.

Africatown Restaurant Ride - Thursday 4 Sept
******************************************************
6:30pm Depart IMAX in Carton, ride to Footscray via the back streets of 
Kensington then imbibe the evening ambiance that is the Footscray cafe 
strip during Ramadan.  Enjoy delicious (and cheap) Ethiopian cuisine at 
Africatown (161 - 163 Nicholson Street, Footscray). A hands on feast of 
vegetarian food will set you back about $10-$15.

Please RSVP via email (bikenerd at gmail.com) so I can call ahead and give 
the restaurant some idea of numbers.

Geelong Equinox ride - Saturday 20th September

6.30pm, outside Café 9 Zero at 90 Pakington Street, Geelong West.

We will head directly to the waterfront and head north following the 
seashore. Stopping at Moorpanyal Park for BBQ dinner.  Then onto the Lara 
wetlands where we will have supper on the bank of Hovells Creek.  Return 
via quiet residential streets through the suburbs of Norlane and North 
Geelong.

Sundays 1pm until around 6pm usually @ the carpark in the Carlton Gardens, 
west of the Exhibition Buildings Bring a bike, beverage and yourself. 
Mallets and ball provided.
Tuesdays venue varies, lately has been on the rooftop carpark at Victoria 
Gardens, corner Burnley and Victoria Sts Richmond.
Polo Tournament, maybe late September, lots of fun for participants and 
spectators. Details soon.
