[publictransport] BV links finally updated - but no mention you can still take bikes!

Hi All,
Forgive me if this all sounds a bit like Groundhog Day!
Below is what Peter (female) from Lynne Kosky's Office has told me twice on
the phone now. She also confirmed the advice with Lynne Kosky's Senior
Ministerial Advisor Raoul Wainwright on Tuesday afternoon 29 Jan 08:
Officially the bans have not been repealed/overturned - However no action
will be taken against any cyclist who takes their bike on a peak hour train
pending the outcome of the review. This is valid for both Connex and V/Line.
Further confirmation of this (at least for V/Line) can be obtained by
ringing the feedback line and having the person read out the bulletin dated
22 Jan 08 regrading the ban. The V/Line conductors I've talked to this week
have also confirmed this is correct.
For my sanity and your peace of mind, you can simply pick up the phone
tomorrow and give Lynn Kosky's Office a call. Ph 9655 3300 - and then please
post this information on the websites!!!
Thanks
Russell Cadman

Ditto; we deliberately haven't said on our web site that bikes are
allowed again, because we haven't had this confirmed. Sure, it would
make sense while the review happens, but as we all know, what
governments do doesn't always make sense...
Cheers,
