Warning: contains large image files but some good info from the CTC (UK)
about building carboard bikes!

If you don't receive the images, email me and I'll host them instead.

We're just had a solar hot water service installed, so hence we've
probably got enough large sheets of cardboard to create about 4 -5
similar bikes if required for a protest action.

cheers,

Chris

Unfortunately our PR officer has since left the organization and I don't
know where the template is, although we believe we still have it
somewhere! Attaching 2 photos - it looks fairly simple to make your own
out of old boxes, long tubes and some spare tyres.

Kind regards

Hi CTC,

Greetings from Victoria in Australia.

At the moment we're having some issues with our lovely public transport
services, namely V/Line who cover regional Victoria and Connex, who
cover the metro area. They have recently introduced peak hour bans on
bicycles being taken on services. Unfortunately it looks as if Bicycle
Victoria, our peak cycling organisation here in Victoria, is supporting
the bans.

See more background here:
http://modernthings.org/binthebikeban/

Going back to a CTC campaign in 2006, do your members know of, or have,
a existing pattern or template to creatively construct nifty cardboard
or corflute bicycles?

http://www.ctc.org.uk/resources/Press_Archive/cardboard_bike_stunt.doc

As this campaign could go state-wide it would be useful if we can
provide people with a basic idea of how to make a cardboard bike, just
in case they need one at the ready.

Many thanks,

Chris Star
