BTW, I can probably get a message sent out to the Democrats party mailing list.  Perhaps someone else could do the same for the Greens, and any other organisation you think would have up-takers.

At least according to the Connex notice I read at my station today.
The first paragraph mentioned how bikes & surfboards can be carried on
non-peak hour trains. Then the second one mentioned how bikes are
banned from peak hour trains. Then I think I the third one mentioned
both bikes and surfboards again.

Just another misc fact.
