ACTING PREMIER HULLS STATES,
"The decision ..... is all about passenger comfort and ensuring that people
can travel on trains in comfort during peak hours,"
& Mr Hulls said.
""The fact is that passengers on trains want to be able to travel in
comfort."
THEN obtusely states
"the Government wanted to ensure people could travel safely.",

SO, which one is it Mr Hulls?
Comfort, OR Safety, any data for this one, or do passengers really just
want to get there ON TIME and AT ALL...and comfort !!, in peak
hours??...come on, when , if ever has it been comfortable to travel on
Melburne's trains in peak hours, a buses or trams for that matter.... Mr
Hulls, seriously are you that out of touch with reality, what is happening
daily out there and the needs of people.
THEN HE CLAIMS
"We think its sensible to ensure bikes are only taken on trains during
off-peak times but that will be monitored."
Ummmm sensible , are you sure about that, Mr Hulls.?, what about a system
that can't cope with its passengers now, why blame a group you feel are
already maligned and marginalised...and Mr Hulls , but what about
necessity?, what about those who HAVE to take their bikes and RELY on them,
no concesions, no sympathy, no thought?, right..... just like BV's position
to DOI, ban the bikes, all bikes, it won't affect many!, that is what they
said to DOI, and that is why they don't represent bicyclists, just their own
commercial interest.
And as for the Minister's so-called "stay", on V-Line... a poor exercise in
trying to salvage face when we see through it as explained already , it
hasn't been gazetted, it can't be enforced, and you why do it anyway?
Minsiter, you have a system set up already on V-Line to cater for bikes and
which have no effect on passengers "comfort" whatsoever... seriously
Minister. We are awake and we smell something and it certainly isnt a
bunch of roses!!!
