Interesting stuff in there, including a point I've also heard as well, 
that apparentely the bans wouldn't of been such a problem for two 
reasons outlined below.

If the media hadn't fired up the issue and the cycling community hadn't 
gotten all boshlie about it.

Then, if all that hadn't occured in the last few weeks, the authorities 
could of quietly got on with the terribly important duty of gazetting 
the changes and then reprinting the 2008 Fares and Travel guide in April 
2008.

If that had gone to plan, bicycle riders would of been provided 
appropriate notice about the peak hour changes.

And no one would of been upset.

Yes, like, really.
